glossybox july 2012

glossybox july 12

these are just a few of the things i’m loving from this month’s glossybox. if you’re not familiar, glossybox is more than just another sample subscription service. this particular pink box of pretty delivers deluxe travel-sized products for serious addicts. the brands represented are the creme of the crop of international brands – all of which are at the cusp of global beauty trends. i like to think of it as beauty discovery at its finest.

this month, my box boasted a full size double-sided lip gloss from senna ($22 value), a travel-size heel balm from alessandro (salon quality!), and a lip balm by figs & rouge (sweet and delicious – also, sold out everywhere). i’ve already tucked all three into my makeup bag for my trip to nyc on friday. can’t wait to sip a few rooftop cocktails in that lip gloss and use the heel balm to soothe my barkin’ dogs after three long days at the accessorie circuit (trade shows are fun, but they are murder on my feet).

to get in on the most luxurious of monthly beauty action, visit glossybox and sign up for $21 per month.

  1. I get birchbox every month but haven’t been too happy with my boxes lately. Do you prefer getting birchbox or glossybox better? I still like the idea of getting samples in a box every month and want to continue but not sure if I want to continue with birchbox. I feel like I just get perfume samples every month and crappy earphones and a larabar.

    • hi kathy! i’m still a *huge* birchbox fran – the pricepoint is amazing and they have the best brand relationships. plus, i like that you can buy full size products at a discount. if you feel like you’re “graduating” from birchbox and want to move on to the next level, then glossybox is DEFINITELY what you need :) hope that helps!

  2. I get the press edition of the British Glossybox every month and I find it goes up and down from month to month, though I’ve found full sizes of products that have become my all time favourites in there too (hello Nars ‘Orgasm’ Illuminator!) I’m not sure though if I want to get a Glossybox USA subscription when I move to Los Angeles in September though, as Birchbox has been tempting me for ages – what do you think of Birchbox?

    • if you’re moving to la, i would say DEFINITELY do birchbox! you will love it, especially since you’re already familiar with glossybox and you’ve kind of been there done that. birchbox really has an empire here in the states – they’re still tops for me. ps – i’m so curious about the products in the glossybox uk edition!
